Hey, this is slightly related, but there’s someone I know who’s charging people to install your software on their Wiis, and has claimed that he has asked your permission to do, and has been granted it. I really just wanted to check, because it really does seem like he’s just scamming. I think he’s charging something £25 for the install :S

Well I am sorry to say, but my girlfriend got scammed on the homebreware. It was thirty bucks. All these promises of they have are lies also. I am somewhat of a noob to this and she was worried I would tear up her wii so she did it. I already had mine working fine… But I checked it out and all these “guides” he offered for like 6 different thing, 4 of the 5 where the same damn guide. And not to mention, “Every month we have a new peice of software for you!” It hasn’t been updated since like last October. A promise of refund if I am not sastified (I am not!) isn’t even an option after you pay. I am new, and I am learning, an I want all the help I can get, but not from assholes like him. Shut his ass down my friends.

Heya. Its JD here. I recently emailed the admin of the hombreware.com site and sent some very incriminating evedence…i have many friends of mine that can help bring this site down so im gonna do my best to help. hope i can help all at HackMii.com and help those awesome guys at Team Twiizers in taking down this guy!

Meh. Just make sure that when the homebrew channel is patched or a major beta for it is released make sure that the anti-scam screen on it. If Nintendo is too lazy to patch it then you are cooked.

I’ve been installing homebrew on a few of my friends Wiis. Some people say that i should be charging them money.
I obviously say no, in due respect to the devs at Team Twiizers.

… I can see them just stealing boot mii to load up their software on boot too… This could end up very bad.

What about having bootmii “require” the latest version of the Homebrew Chanel to install(by having its installer as an elf, probably), so the people who bought this product would know that they were scammed? That would probably put some hurt on them since they wouldn’t be able to use bootmii, which I’m sure a good amount of the homebrew out there would move over to.
